Ordinary Wandering

This project focuses on urban landscapes and areas that I seek to capture from my own, female perspective. By looking at how gender affects our experiences in the public space, I wanted to explore how their complexities relate back to historical norms and expectations that society had and what’s changed today. Psychogeography is a huge part of my practice and as a woman, there tends to be spaces which are taboo for me to be in and wander. But through the exploration of my practice, I hope to share experiences and challenge ideas around femininity, safety and the female experience.
